Dr. Shannon Daniel has been a board certified Fellow of the Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCSC) since July 2012. She is a medical and surgical Comprehensive Ophthalmologist with an extensive clinical practice and is currently an associate staff at Oakville Memorial Hospital. 

She is currently accepting new patients and referrals for eye diseases including but not limited to:

Surgical: 

-  Cataracts

-  Lid lesions including chalazions, small papillomas or verruca lesions on the eyelids

(No cancers please) 

Medical: 

-  Diabetic Retinopathy  

-  Intravitreal injections for retinal pathology including macular degeneration, vein occlusions, diabetic edema and other retinal pathology

Lasers: 

-  Yag Capsulotomy 

-  Peripheral iridotomy for narrow angles (LPI)

-  Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT)

-  Argon for Retinal tears

Please note that Dr.Daniel does not accept referrals for pediatrics or strabismus. 

Note to family doctors: Dr. Daniel DOES NOT DO refractions for prescribing glasses and does not see patients for routine eye care. Please refer these patients to a local optometrist for glasses/contact lenses and routine eye health exams.
